The first one out of the nest

In a few short months our oldest will be leaving home. On Friday Joe and I, along with Joey of course, went down to check out RIT. Joey has been excepted there in their International Studies Program. It looks like a great school!
I have such mixed emotions about his growing up. Part of me says "way to go!" and part of me doesn't think it should be allowed to happen. He is, after all, my baby.
But, he is a great kid. Pretty level headed and mature (for his age) and I know he will be fine. I'll just miss having him around all the time. I really like him, quite a bit! Maybe that's what's making me blue...realizing he doesn't need "mom" anymore. And just when he's getting really interesting too!

What a great photo of the three of you. I wish him the best of luck too. He will be fine Terri and it is great for our moms to worry and miss us kids. :-)

Hugs ~

Oh yes, I remember it well....our 3 have been gone for quite a while now, and it's such a joy each time we get to see them.
Our son went to RIT for computer engineering. It's a great school.
Don't worry...they always need Mom and Dad, even though they might not admit it :)
I see you're moving again. Will you be going back to the same house you were in before?
The sunshine and warmth of yesterday and today has me believing that spring may actually have finally arrived! Hope your weather is as beautiful as ours is this morning.
