Yet another book endorsement

I am finishing the book, Politics Lost by Joe Klein...the man who wrote Primary Colors. This one is subtitled How American Democracy Was Trivialized By People Who Think You're Stupid.
It's basically the story of how the men and women who are running for president are not "the what you see is what you get" kind of candidates of old, but packaged, dressed and homogenized automatons who's purpose is not to lead, but only to get elected. Ain't THAT the truth!
This guy has been around the campaign trail for quite awhile now and he has some interesting perspectives. Before you cast your ballot in Novemeber maybe you should give this one a read.
It might make you think again. If not this time, at least in 2012.
Our country is run, not by the people, but by the big political parties and their rich friends. It's time to educate ourselves in order to take back the power in this country. If you want to see real change in Washington, you better start by changing yourself and the way you decide who and what to vote for. Otherwise nothing is going to ever change
