Randy Pausch died yesterday of complications from pancreatic cancer. He is the man who gave "The Last Lecture". I wrote about it a few months back. I mourn for the loss to his family, to his friends and to his students. But not for him. Just imagine the adventure he's beginning now!!! God bless Randy and thanks for sharing your lecture with the rest of us.
The "golden rules" of Randy's lecture:
You cannot change the cards you are dealt. Just how you play the hand
Don't complain. Just work harder.
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. The brick walls are there to stop the people who don't want it badly enough.

Ah, I needed those quotes today. Thank you. And as far as his death, I'm so sorry to his family. Truly. What a mark he made for those left behind though, right?
As far as the Terminator shooting at my house, um... NO. They never even called or came by, though of course they were going to tell me either way. I knew it would unfold like that. Not because I'm negative, but because that's the way it always is with the location people who come to my home. About ten in three years. Always no. But once I got them to use my driveway for catering and made 750.00. It's fine. It's still fun. You never know!
