Bikram Yoga

While down in Baltimore this last week, my friend Lisa took me along to her Bikram Yoga class. (Hot Yoga) While I've always had an interest in learning yoga, I had never been to an actual class before and this one was a humdinger! With the 90 minute class in a room heated to 104 degrees and 40% humidity it's a real challenge just to stay in the room, much less do all the poses as well! It was amazing!

I've always heard it said the staying limber is the key to staying young. The heat in Bikram yoga is said to make it easier to stretch your muscles. I don't know about that, but I do know it was a definite work out for me!

I did enjoy it though and hope to find a similar class around here. After all, it's really no worse then an August afternoon in the balmy Ohio River Valley of Kentucky, and I've made it through plenty of those!

Good for you, I always thought yoga sounded interesting. The hot room I could do without though. If that is a requirement, I couldn't make it.
Congratulations on your in laws 50th. Great and still happy by the look of it.

I have been seriously thinking about a yoga class. I think it's time I quit thinking and Just Do It. :)
