How I spent this lovely Saturday morning

My husband and 3 of the kids are gone today. I was thinking of being a bum and not doing much of anything, but I decided I had to clean the room shared by my 2 youngest boys. I thought of taking before and after photos, but that would be asking for trouble from the health department! So here, instead are the after photos....wish this was smell-o-blogger because I cleaned the carpet and washed the bedding and this room smells so nice!
Then I made the fatal error of looking at my girls room. At a quick glance it didn't look horrible, but on closer inspection, she had about a months worth of dirty clothes, graded homework and assorted crayons, hair clips and legos stuck behind and underneath her bed....So, I got to work in there as well.
Of course I still have about 37 loads of laundry to do, but then I'm essentially done for the day. This place looks pretty good!

Think we'll order Chinese take-out to celebrate!

You did a wonderful job, and deserve take out for sure. The rooms look very cute. Are they happy they are clean now? Do they appreciate your hard work? Hope so. Hope you get the rest of the weekend off now. LOL

Hey Terri! I actually purchased the dog portrait off of eBay because it looked so much like our little Bully. He's the Boston sitting in the chair under the portrait. He's our one and only Boston and will be 4 in October. He's quite a "live wire"...but so sweet and happy.

Give yourself a pat on the back for such a good job! Those are cheery, bright rooms.
Two of our bedrooms upstairs need cleaning, but it's the over-wintering plants making the mess. I need to clean up all the dead leaves! Makes me wonder if it's worth babying those plants. That's the gratidude they show!
