A few weeks ago, there was a mighty big windstorm. During this windstorm, a good sized branch was broken off from a tree in our back yard. I saved this branch and today I made it into our Thanksgiving tree.
I had to saw off the bottom of the limb, otherwise it would have been too tall. Then, I took it out to the garage and spray painted it white and threw silver glitter on it. After it dried, I placed it (thick end up) in a pot and filled the pot with stones (That was Joe's idea and I must admit it worked out well!)
Now that the tree was ready I made a bunch of the leaves I saw on Clarice's site last month (http://storybookwoods.typepad.com/storybook_woods/autumn_bliss/index.html)
I like them better then my last attempt, because I made them smaller and they looked better that way to me. On each leave, we wrote something we were thankful for. I really like how it turned out! What do you think?
Now I need to make some more leaves, because we ran out of leaves before we ran out of blessings! LOL

So do you have leaves ready for when the Steptoe's decend on the Pollhein Palace?
What a great idea! I love that you used a broken branch from your tree and your leaves are too cute. I just might have to steal your idea...lol!
