Tis the season

for carving Jack O'Lanterns! First there's the trip to choose just exactly the perfect pumpkin. Then drawing the scariest face on it for Daddy to cut out. Then final inspection and proper placement on the porch for maximum visibility once it's dark outside and the candles inside are lit. As an snack for later, we saved the seeds clean them off and back them in a slow oven! Yummmmm

I have never eaten pumpkin seeds before! No seasoning even?

I love these pictures...it is always fun to carve ol' Jack! : )
And aren't the seeds good?? I used to do that with my pre-schoolers when I taught pre-K. And Dan loved to do it as well. Now Grace does it and we all munch on them!

The kids are so cute!

Hugs,
Sue

Carving pumpkins is lots of fun, but it's more fun to go to the farm and chose the perfect one. Thanks for sharing these great photos.
