Finally!
We signed on the house Friday afternoon (we were the last one's out of the clerks office) and the house is ours!
Joe is painting the rooms, one by one and we're unpacking as we go. I don't know when we'll get around to doing the floors (ugly, white carpet over (mostly) hardwood floors. I want to pull it all up, but Joe is making me wait, because he wonders what we are supposed to do with all that old carpeting??? It's not like the farm where you can just burn stuff. They frown on that sort of thing here in suburbia! LOL) This house is going to be so good for us.
And did I mention the neighbors?? So friendly and nice! Several have come over and introduced themselves. The kids have already made some friends. Oh! and one lady brought over cookies and lemonade as we were unpacking our house. How sweet was that?
So, I am off to brush my teeth and then head over so that I can finish shocking the swimming pool. As soon as I get internet at the house I'll try and take some shots of our lovely new home.
Home...isn't that a fabulous word????

Congrats! Leave some walls for me to wallpaper. You know I'm great at it. Love you!
A big congratulations on your new home Terri! You ooze with happiness and it is so great to hear it. I am so glad you are all together in a place that is going to be your own real home.
Terri, make sure you get those blinds on order...lol!
I am SO happy you are settled in a home of your own with great neighbors and can see your hubby each night and have dinner together! It's those things we take for granted at times that make this world so fabulous. Hugs, Melissa
Welcome back to Western New York, Terri! We felt as if you were in a foreign country back east :) So... how many farm animals can you smuggle into the neighborhood?
