Size 14? Not so bad

Did you know that Marilyn was a size 14??? Doesn't sound so big, now does it? I think a woman with a few curve is more attractive then a too skinny one. The problems arise when the curves aren't where curves should be!!
This morning Gentlemen Prefer Blonds is on AMC. I don't think I've ever watched this movie all the way through before. Don't you wish people "dressed" like the used to. Suits, hats, matched ensembles....sigh, so classy.
Don't get me wrong. I love jeans! But, oh! I sure do admire the clothes in these old movies. Most folks didn't have the money to spend on gowns, but what they lacked in funds they made up for in style and ingenuity.

Oh yeah! I love the old classics. Have you ever seen any of "The Thin Man" movies? Myrna Loy is FABULOUS! Her clothes were to die for! I did hear MM was a size 14, however, I think clothing sizes were a lot different than they are today. For example, when I try anything vintage-y on, I almost always need 2-3 sizes bigger than what I actually wear. That said, she most definitely was a woman with curves!!!

It's fun fun fun to lose a few pounds, but there's something to be said for being comfortable with who we are as women...
