HOW COOL IS THIS??????

McCain picks Palin as surprise No. 22 hours, 54 minutes ago
DAYTON, Ohio (Reuters) - Republican John McCain made a surprise choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate on Friday, adding a political unknown to the presidential ticket who could help him appeal to women voters

I just LOVE her! This was a brilliant move on McCain's part! I am just so excited.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about his selection. I'll have to mull it over for awhile.

I am worried about this choice, frankly. I don't believe she is qualified to lead this country "a heartbeat away." Her Evangelical faith (interesting article on this issue in Salon the other day) and book censorship affected her politics in Wassilla and would no doubt shape her policies as president. She may be a fine mother and woman in other ways but potential president, no. The Republicans are vetting her in a strategic, brilliant move, frankly, but she is dangerous, just like the hateful GOP party rhetoric. Maybe worse. The mouse that roared. Besides, I can't respect anyone who blows away wildlife from an airplane. Someone who cherishes human life so much should also be more mindful of the creatures and natural resources God put on this planet, too.

Respectfully, Catherine
