WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Wednesday outlawed executions of people convicted of raping a child. In a 5-4 vote, the court said the Louisiana law allowing the death penalty to be imposed in such cases violates the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.
Once again the rights of the criminal are more valued by our legal system then the rights and safety of the masses. Adults who sexual molest children are soul murders. They ruin lives. findcounseling.com states the following:
A history of childhood sexual abuse leads to a lower health-related quality of life and a greater number of health problems, psychiatric symptoms and diagnoses. Research shows that survivors of childhood sexual abuse have "more medical problems, higher medical use, more physical symptoms, lower health status, and more medical procedures."11 High levels of anxiety and depression in survivors of childhood sexual abuse can lead to self-destructive behaviors, such as alcohol and drug abuse.7 Because of the association between sexual behavior and pain and violation, survivors of childhood sexual abuse often develop problems with intimate relationships in general, including difficulties during sexual contact and dysfunctions of desire and arousal.15In general, childhood sexual abuse is associated with a greater risk of: Disturbances in sexual interest; Difficulties during sexual contact; Dysfunctions of desire, arousal or orgasm; Seductive behaviors, compulsive activity and prostitution; Precocious sexual behavior; Confusion of sexuality and nurturing behavior; Sexually transmitted diseases; Unintended pregnancy; Eating disorders; Excessive weight gain; Depression; Anxiety; Self-destructive behavior; Alcoholism; Drug abuse; Panic attacks; Insomnia and sleep problems; Relationship problems; Revictimization; Suicide; Self-mutilation; Increased risk for sexually transmitted disease; Identity disturbances; and Involvement in physically abusive relationships as adults
But evidently, the unelected, elitist, liberal supreme court justices think that not only does this not warrant the penalty of death, but since those in prison who eventually return to society get the chance to do it to another child....(they don't get better you know.....they are evil incarnate and need to be excised like the cancer they are...)
If we, as a society, cannot execute those that prey on our children, for God's sake let's at least work to assure that they are imprisoned for life. We're not talking a skinned knee here people. Kids don't just "get over" something like rape. I hope those black robed idiots in D.C. never have to watch a child they love try to gather the little pieces of their shattered lives after they become the victim of on of these monsters....I really do.

How dare they? If pedophiles knew they would be put to death it might deter them. Here in Canada they are also protected. We have no death penalty. It has been abolished and crime has been on the rise ever since.
When are our governments going to wake up and smell the coffee? The pedophiles have rights but our children have none. This is WRONG.
Guess I will stop before I go on a rant. This makes me sooo angry.

Completely Disgusting. Do these people that passed this law not have children? Have they never been children themselves?
I have been saying for years that we still need hangings in the town square to make would-be criminals think twice, but hanging is to humane for child rapists...
