This and That

Yesterday as I watched coverage of the Kentucky Derby, I got so homesick I felt like crying. I love Kentucky and I miss it, but never so much as when Derby time rolls around. In the best of all worlds, I would be moving back there instead of to Buffalo....but it is what it is and off to Buffalo we go.

Not that Buffalo is horrible. I have never been to Niagara Falls (which is just up the road from there) and Western NY is where we've called home for the last 10 years or so. I just want to get going on finding a house. There's just only so much you can tell about a place by looking at photos on realtor.com! I NEED my new house NOW!!!!

Another thing I've been thinking about lately is the fact that there is roughly $400 left in our flexible spending account for Joe's current insurance and that will go away after Friday So, I want to use as much as I can before them. That means rescheduling a couple of dentist appointments for this week if possible and then ordering Joey more contact lenses to use all of it up. Too bad there's not enough for a quick tummy-tuck!

We watched a re-run of The Biggest Loser Finale 2006. Absolutely Amazing! And here I am being lazy... Wish I had a personal trainer to nag me though. That would be helpful. The guy that won lost fully half his body weight! Absolutely astounding.

I worked at the library on Saturday, where they gave me a flat of pansies and a plate of cookies for volunteering to do something a really like to do! Alright! That's how life SHOULD be! LOL.

This is my last week (for awhile) before I become a single parent again. Joe's new job begins next Monday. It is always like this and you would think I would be glad, but even after 17 years together, I really miss him when he's not around. He is still my one true love!

Excuse my rattling on. I seem to be having trouble focusing these days. I guess I should go make some tea. Have a lovely Sunday you all!

Thanks a lot for passing by my blog and leaving a comment. Unfortunately, I am a bit late in responding. I am very happy that you like my garden. It was a great deal of work - but I enjoyed and still enjoy every single minute when I put my fingers in the dirt.

You are more than welcome to come back to my Country Cottage Garden whenever you like!

Warmest wishes from Germany,
Anita

I'm holding a good thought for you. You'll get to where you're meant to be. I believe that. It's hard to wait though, I know that feeling well.
That's so nice that you were acknowledged in such a lovely way for your hard work!
I liked Marie Antoinette for the visual beauty of it, but the story left me a little cold in some way that's hard to describe. The costumes thoug...so worth seeing!
